It is with great regret that this years race has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. The race may be back in 2019 under new management. Thank you for your support, Ian Cowell - Race director.
The race is based at Haltwhistle in Northumberland. The course follows the South Tyne Trail along an old railway line crossing the Lambley viaduct (above), then turns around, heading back downhill to the finish. It's a fast course with typically over a quarter of runners recording a PB or Seasons Best with a negative split being common.
A big thanks to Graham and Joyce from Lambley Station for allowing us through their front garden, avoiding steps down to the river.
Clubs and groups are more than welcome to pitch a tent near the start/finish area.
For a map and more details, including pictures of the route see 'Course' on the menu at the top.
